Stop Hiding: Show Up & Shine! | Jasmine Mbye | TEDxBedford
Do you show yourself as truly, authentically you? How many times do you need to hit rock bottom before you speak your truth?
Jasmine Mbye was hiding behind a mask since childhood. Her journey to take that mask off and dare to be herself was painful and took a lot of courage to show up and finally shine. With this TEDx talk you will learn the 3 clear takeaways she used so you can STOP hiding too.
Jasmine Mbye is an Empowerment Champion, an international Speaker, Trainer and Coach who has won multiple awards. She has been featured in the press, on the radio and received certificates of appreciation for her work with individuals and organisations, empowering others to develop personal leadership, enhance employability and improve wellbeing.

About TEDx: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized

Jasmine was born in Luton but grew up in London, returning to Bedfordshire in 2015.
Jasmine has overcome many struggles in her life from a dysfunctional and abusive childhood to a toxic and abusive marriage. Yet, she has found her faith and inner work, personal development, has helped her recover from situations that would otherwise have been soul destroying, becoming better, stronger and freer. It’s this determination that leads Jasmine to empower teen girls and women to rise up from feeling like their not enough and develop the confidence, courage and celebration to show up and shine meaningfully and authentically in life and work through inspirational speaking, training, events and soon to be magazines. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
