Asaduddin Owaisi Calls Mamata Banerjee ‘Double Face’ Over TMC 2026 Manifesto

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi criticised TMC chief Mamata Banerjee while speaking in Patna on the party’s 2026 West Bengal Assembly election manifesto. Owaisi said Mamata has a double face because last year the High Court cancelled 5 lakh backward certificates, including about 3 lakh of Muslims, with no discussion from her. He pointed out that despite Muslims making up 29% of West Bengal’s population, only 7% are in government jobs. Owaisi also highlighted severe poverty in Malda and Murshidabad districts.
