April 13, 1592. Japan invaded Korea with 158,000 troops — the largest invasion force in Asian history.

Led by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the golden-armored general who unified Japan after Nobunaga's death. Veterans of decades of civil war. Battle-hardened samurai. Unstoppable.

Korea was unprepared. Decades of peace. Minimal military. Outdated fortresses.
Busan fell in one day. Seoul fell in 19 days. The king fled north. Half of Korea occupied within weeks. The war seemed over.

But Korea still controlled one thing: the sea.
Admiral Yi Sun-sin commanded the southern fleet. While Seoul burned, Yi prepared. He had a plan. And a weapon Japan had never seen:
The turtle ships.
