Delhi To Udaipur | Budget &Perfect Udaipur Itinerary 2021 |Day 1|City Palace|Lake Pichola|Jag Mandir

Here’s the most awaited vlog for Udaipur 2021 Trip- Part 1.

ANOTHER SOLO TRIP. And this time it is Udaipur- “The city of Lakes”, Rajasthan. So I started from Delhi. Booked a ticket via Paytm which cost me around 450 INR. The train journey duration was about 12 hours.

Now, Day 1 at Udaipur. So the best Itinerary for Day 1 at Udaipur includes:

1. City Palace, Udaipur
2. Jagdish temple
3. Lake Pichola
4. Jag Mandir
5. Dinner at a good restaurant with a Lake Pichola view

These destinations only, I would suggest you guys cover on day 1. As the city palace visit will take around 3 hours to cover, and the Lake Pichola sunset boat ride including the Jag Mandir visit also takes around 2 hours to cover and spend time peacefully at each location.

Ticket price for city palace: 300 INR, if you are a student then the ticket would cost you around 100 INR.

No entry fee for Jagdish Temple.

For Lake Pichola: I opted for a sunset boat ride which cost me around INR 800, otherwise, at normal timings, the price is around INR 500. Jag mandir visit has been also included in this ticket as it is located on Lake Pichola Island only.

About City Palace: City Palace, Udaipur is a palace complex situated in the city of Udaipur in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It was built for nearly 400 years, with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Its construction began in 1553, started by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia Rajput family as he shifted his capital from the erstwhile Chittor to the newfound city of Udaipur. The palace is located on the east bank of Lake Pichola and has several palaces built within its complex.

About Jagdish Temple: Jagdish Temple is a large Hindu temple in the middle of Udaipur in Rajasthan, just outside the royal palace. It has been in continuous worship since 1651. A big tourist attraction, the temple was originally called the temple of Jagannath Rai but is now called Jagdish-ji. It is a major monument in Udaipur.

About Lake Pichola: Lake Pichola, situated in Udaipur city in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is an artificial freshwater lake, created in the year 1362 AD, named after the nearby Picholi village. It is one of the several contiguous lakes and developed over the last few centuries in and around the famous Udaipur city.

About Jag Mandir: Jag Mandir is a palace built on an island in Lake Pichola. It is also called the "Lake Garden Palace". The palace is located in Udaipur city in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Its construction is credited to three Maharanas of the Sisodia Rajputs of Mewar kingdom.
