Easy Analog Synth Instrument control in Ableton Live

A basic primer on how to easily control the software instrument "Analog" synth voice in Ableton Live 10 or 11 with a MIDI keyboard of some sort, for the absolute beginner. We will show how to get some great sounds and modulation from this very compact, simple virtual instrument. The same principles are applicable to other simple software synthesizers.

This lovely small Software Instrument using physical modeling emulates the unique circuitry and knob-twisting fun of vintage analog synthesizers, and fits perfectly into Ableton Live's workflow. It can produce sounds as varied as brass horns to throat humming. Best used with some real knobs to twist on something like an Akai Mini Mk II as taught in my previous video: "Easy MIDI recording in Ableton Live".

Analog is included in Ableton Live 11 suite or may be purchased separately. It's an oldy but a goody... Check out the many sounds possible under Live Instruments/Analog under each category: Bass, Brass, Effects, Pad, Piano and Keys, Strings, Synth Keys, Synth Lead, Synth Rhythmic. With this video tutorial and a little bit of experimenting you will soon be programming your own new sounds with ease! Go beyond simple using other people's Presets!

I hope you enjoy playing with Analog.
