Titanic. Death of a Titan - T.H.Cooney Art

A considerably long ambition of mine was to recreate the CGI sinking sequence seen in the 1997 film 'Titanic', having seen it at the age of 11 (and never stopped watching since) I was convinced I'd never have the money or equipment, and yet here it is!

As an insatiable Titanic enthusasist, I made the sequence part-innacurate and part-fact, for example the ship apparently never reached an angle as steep a 40 degrees before breaking, but I think it looks epic so I left it, however I agree with the theory that the stern did not bob when the bow detatched from it and instead went straight under.

Inspired by the unbeatable James Cameron I constructed this sequence with my own sound effects and music from the ingenious James Horner, all animation was done by myself using Autodesk 3DS Max 2013 and edited with Adobe Premiere Pro CS6.
