Raju Hirani talks about movies, family and on making Sanju on Sanjay Dutt

Raju Hirani, one of the most critically acclaimed directors of Hindi cinema shares his stories about growing up in Nagpur, the success formula behind his films and why he is an agnostic with Shoma Chaudhury at Algebra, The Arts & Ideas Club - Gurgaon on 11-September-2016.

Raju Hirani attributes most of his cinematic madness to his father, who had a huge influence on his work.
Raju also says that when he makes a film, he makes it for himself and not for his audience because he believes he can’t satisfy everyone out there.
While discussing his upcoming film “Sanju”, Hirani says that when he heard Sanjay Dutt talk about his life, he couldn’t believe that a single man could have lived such an amazing life and that’s when he decided to make a film on him.

Raju Hirani, one of the most successful directors of Hindi cinema, is well known for directing award-winning films such as “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S”, “Lage Raho Munnabhai”, “3 Idiots” and “PK”.
