Erik Hehir Vs Faisal Azimi (Joined in the 4th Round & Edited) A Professional Muay Thai Bout

This was an explosive professional Muay Thai bout that took place in Wexford. Ireland, both fighting at 65Kg. This was a bout between both warriors, Erik Hehir and Faisal Azimi, where the winning could have gone to either one of them, until the final minute of round 5. Erik Hehir had picked himself up off the canvas after taking an 8 count in round 4 and had his gumshield sent into orbit. This spurred him on to regain his payback against Faisal Azimi in the final minute of round 5.
Faisal was also a worthy opponent who got to his feet both times after being given 2 off 8 counts, one from a spinning elbow and the other from a vicious running leaping knee strike into his face, leaving his nose bloodied. The Irish and N/ Irish fight scene has a fantastic pool of talented warriors and well worth the viewing. They don’t hold back in their aggressive styles, producing great exciting combat bouts.
Shame about the commentary though that accompanied the fight was not more measured. Instead getting the over-the-top creaming his pants and way over excited screaming down the mike at full blast.
