The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday filed a chargesheet against former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satyapal Malik and five others in a case of alleged corruption in the contract of works worth Rs 2,200 crore for the Kiru Hydroelectric Project. The CBI has submitted its report before a special court after three years of investigation. Let us tell you that the CBI registered the case in April 2022 on the request of the Jammu and Kashmir government. Malik was the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir from August 2018 to October 2019.
