There were twelve coordinated shooting and bombing attacks across Mumbai, main attack sites were
- Railway station Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus
- Leopold Café
- Taj Mahal Palace & Tower hotel
- Oberoi Trident hotel
- Metropolitan theater
- Mazagaon docks
- Cama Hospital
- Nariman House
- Vile Parle

the attacks, began on Wednesday, 26 November and At least 173 people were killed and at least 308 were injured in the attacks.
About 400 army commandos and 300 national security guards commandos and 36-100 MARCOS commandos were sent to the spot.

The total number of hostages released during operations was around 610. Most terrorists have been killed, while one was taken alive.
