Silk Yarn Manufacturing Process || How to Make Silk Yarn

Silk is a natural protein fiber which is obtained from the cocoons of the silkworm. Most commercial silk is extracted from the Cocoons of the silk moths Bombyx M0ri and its called Mulberry silk.
After mating female moth deposit about 300 to 500 eggs in 5 to 6 days time. Wnen the egg are at the blue stage they are ready to hatch.
As the baby silk worm out of the egg they begin to feed fresh AND chopped mulberry leaves. Since the food of these silkworms is mulberry plant the silk they produced is called mulberry silk.
Silkworms multiplies its weight 10000 time within a month.
Changing in color and shading whitish gray skin several times. Once it has achieved maximum growth silk worm stops eating and begins to weave a cocoon around its body.
Special type of racks is used to encourage the silkworms to spin cocoons properly. Using the store of foods, it has eaten the silkworm produces silk filaments from two glands to form Continuous threads. It is that cocoon that is made of silk fiber. Within 4 days silkworm Produces fine trades which is spins into a cocoon .
After 10 days the worm goes through its pupas stage in the cocoon to become a moth.
Before the moth emerge from the cocoon it dried to remove excess moisture then they are boiled INTO HOT WATER to get rid of exterior fluff or floss and loosen the silk filament.
Than cocoon are placed in a reeling machine where the filament from number of cocoon are reeled into a single continuous threads.
