Chickering Square Grand 1868

This Chickering square grand piano was completed sometime in the week of May 2, 1868 and it shipped from Boston to a Chicago, Illinois retailer called Reed & Sons on May 20, 1868.

I discovered it the first time I visited Patsy Dubois back when I was the photographer for the house and garden tour in San Miguel de Allende many years ago. she is a kind lady with a friendly face and a small cloud of dogs in orbit around her. We have since become fast friends. Patsy is a unassuming soul that belies a wealth of tales and talents. If you get a chance to sit down and chat with her, she will whisk you away on one of her many adventures!

This is not just a piano, it is a work of master craftsmanship and a true work of art. Some things stand the test of time, and some just glow deeper. Like Patsy, this piano glows deeper.
