The Underwater War on the Internet

What happens if the world suddenly goes offline? The threat to our global undersea internet infrastructure has never been more real. From recent Russian threats to undersea internet cables in Great Britain's waters, to the the terrifying reality of a total internet blackout.

In this video, we look at current geopolitical warnings regarding our digital infrastructure, including the large concentration of undersea cables in the Strait of Hormuz. We also dive into a minute-by-minute look at the first few hours of a global shutdown. We will also cover if Starlink would be able to provide enough cover, and some practical steps to take so we are well prepared for what might happen.
