The Simplest and Easiest Compost Tea

In this video I show you how to make the simplest and easiest compost tea ever. This compost tea only requires a bucket of water and some panty hose filled with finished compost. No need for aeration or any other additives.

Brewing the compost tea in the more traditional way of adding molasses and aerating the mix for several days can lead to bacterial issues and health risks. This method is more in line with what happens in nature with compost on the forest floor.

This method is also much quicker and only takes about an hour or 2 to make. You simply add the compost filled panty hose into the water and let sit for an hour or more and then come back and kneed the compost to get as much of the water soluble minerals and nutrients as possible out of it.

The dark chocolate milk color to the compost tea is the tannins from the compost coming into the water which is great for controlling algae growth in aquaponic or hydroponic setups.

This is a great addition to plants that can be applied to the roots or sprayed to the leaves.
