Hitch: The Performance of Masculinity
In this video essay I talk about the romantic comedy Hitch and how the main character, Hitch (Will Smith) navigates masculinity, femininity, and identity, especially in relation to some of the other men in the movie, Albert (Kevin James) and Vance (Jeffrey Donovan (from Burn Notice)), as well as in relation to his love interest, Sara (Eva Mendes).
