Sustainability and ESG can be overwhelming, but don't let perfect be the enemy of progress. If you touch materials in any way, you can start to make change at your organization. Attention designers, product developers, textile technologists, and sourcing professionals! You can start TODAY by just selecting slightly better materials. Using 100% Polyester? Ask your vendor for 20% recycled polyester content. Using Viscose? Ask for Ecovero. And lean on your mills to come up with solutions - you don't have to figure it all out yourself! Make incremental progress whether your company supports ESG initiatives or not. (Because eventually it will catch up to them, and then you'll be ahead of the game!)
