How to Make an Easy Cat Repellent at Home - with Cheap Parts! This animal deterrent is a motion activated sprinkler that stops cat, dogs or birds from going in your garden & backyard, by sensing their movement and then giving them a persuasive (and sometimes funny) spray of water.
Whether you need it as dog repellent, to stop birds taking fish from your pond or even to train your cat or dog to not wonder where they shouldn't - then this simple DIY deterrent is for you!

A water spray is the only effective repellent I have encountered that actually works. Home remedies like Citrus, Vinegar, Citronella Lemon Garlic, lavender, peppermint, lemongrass blah blar, do not work! If any effect is noticed it quickly stops due to cats habituation. Ultrasonic repellents also have the same issue.
