LESSON SUMMARY

In today's lesson, you'll learn the melody and chords for Silent Night, but more importantly, you'll learn how to add beautiful colors to the chords to make them sound jazzy.

You'll learn that a 9 is added to major 7 chords and minor 7 chords, and a 13 and 9 is often added to dominant 7th chords.

We'll also discuss more advanced harmonies such as chord alterations. You'll discover that b9, #9, #11, and b13 is commonly added to dominant chords to make them sound super rich.
