How to fix clutch or throttle cables for cheap?

On my trip I snapped 3 clutch cables and one throttle cable started to go. Looking at the spare parts catalog those cables are about £50-60 together!

Is it possible to fix the cables for cheaper? YES!

Slinky Glide (http://slinky-glide.co.uk) makes "Emergency Clutch and Throttle Cable Repair Kit", available at https://www.wemoto.com/parts/picture/vo-181-101
which allows to fix the cables on the road.

I tried to use the kit for permanent fix for my clutch & throttle cables, let's see how long they will last.

Have anybody done this and have some feedback on how long it lasts and if it's viable solution?
