Reaching Zero Dose Children
Vulnerable populations and zero-dose children – those who have not received any routine vaccine – have been hardest hit by the pandemic.

2020 saw an increase of 3.1 million zero-dose children due to COVID-19 related disruption, pushing the total estimated number to 12.4 million OR In Gavi supported countries, the number of zero-dose children has gone up by 30% in 2020 because of the secondary effects of the pandemic.
