Muse | Macro Performance Controls

In this video we explore the various macro performance controls on Muse and how you can use them for patch morphing and modulation.

We begin with an initialized patch to build our macro controls from the ground up. Pressing MACRO in the ASSIGNABLE CONTROLS section brings up the quick assign screen and turning the FILTER 2 CUTOFF knob assigns the MACRO knob to control the filter cutoff. We continue by assigning the MACRO knob to simultaneously control the cutoff of Filter 1 as well as the level of OSC 2 in the mixer for creating a bandpass-ish filter response while fading in the second oscillator. We also look at editing these modulation assignments in the MOD MAP, changing the response of the two filter cutoffs to the MACRO knob as well as adding slew using the mathematical functions in the MOD MAP. The MACRO knob can be quickly swapped with the MOD WHEEL in the MOD MAP and we also touch on using the two LFO AMPLITUDE controls as further macro controls.
