"I came here on a British passport, not Jamaican" - Windrush 75 at Black Cultural Archives

22 June 2023 marks 75 years the HMT Windrush docked in Tilbury - bringing a generation of Caribbeans to Britain, and making the country a richer, more diverse and exciting place ever since.

We visited Brixton's Black Cultural Archives to delve into the fascinating objects in their collections - and spoke about their new Windrush exhibition (starting 22 June).

We also chatted to Hugh Keizs - who came to London from Jamaica in 1959 - discussing his early memories of a new life in the UK.
