LCPL Rogelio A. Ramirez

Rogelio Antonio Ramirez was born June 30, 1986 in
Glendale, CA and was named after his grandfather.
He grew up in Pasadena, CA, attending Pasadena
High School. At the age of 19 he earned his GED
and began taking college classes. LCpl Ramirez
joined the United States Marine Corps in July 2006
after working in the construction industry. Known by
his nickname, "Rojo", he enjoyed playing soccer and
hand ball. LCpl Ramirez has been awarded the
following: Purple Heart, Navy and Marine Corps
Achievement Medal with Combat Distinguishing
Device, Combat Action Ribbon, Iraq Campaign
Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal,
National Defense Service Medal. In his biographical
statement LCpl Ramirez states, "I served my country
proudly and did it all for my family. Much love to my
loved ones and to all my fellow Marines, stay
motivated and Semper Fi."
