*Early Arrival* LAFD Battling Vacant Commercial Structure Fire (Station 57)

Los Angeles Fire Department was called out to the 8300 block of south Broadway Street for a reported structure fire. Engine 57 was first on scene and found a one-story commercial building with heavy smoke and fire showing. Firefighters went into a transitional posture due to the fire load. The flames were quickly knocked down, which allowed firefighters to transition into an offensive posture. They went inside the vacant building and put more hoselines on the fire. It took 30 firefighters 14 minutes to extinguish the fire. Task Force 33 and Engine 57 remained on scene for a 60 minute overhaul. No injuries reported.
