How a Near-Death Experience Shaped Five Teenagers' Lives: Henry Woodman at TEDxNSU

In his talk, Henry Woodman recounts the journey of five spoiled teenagers from suburbia U.S.A. sent to the remote, impenetrable, and unmapped rainforest of the Mosquito Coast in Honduras. Their mission was to find a lost city rumored to have vast quantities of gold, but what they discovered about themselves was much more precious than gold. Woodman is the founder and president of ICE Portal and is a current M.B.A. student at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
