Using a camcorder in 2026

Today we are looking back at an HD camcorder from Sony. The Sony HDR PJ780 released in 2012. But how good is it today? This is my handycam review. I will show you a vlog sample, but also video footage that I shot on this camcorder. It has a built in night vision feature. And in this review I will look at if this tapeless handycam camera is still good enough today. Because of the nightshot feature and a built in light, it can be useful for low light video. And it has an hdmi port for live streaming.

The video quality is not amazing so I wont recommend it for filmmaking or wedding videography, but it is great if you want a vintage look.
