Northern California forecast calls for warm and dry Mother's Day weekend

Friday morning will be chilly and comfortable before it warms up in Northern California. Meteorologist Tamara Berg said this might also be the first time this year that the downtown Sacramento area hits 90 degrees. The average for this time of year is 80 degrees, and the record high ever recorded on this day in May is 100 degrees. The Mother's Day weekend is expected to follow the 90-degree trend, and there is not a drop of rain or snow in the forecast. That will be perfect for anyone looking to do outdoor activities this weekend. Looking ahead to next week, the forecast calls for dry and warmer-than-average temperatures.
