The video demonstrates using the Edu:bit potentio (potentiometer) bit with a BBC micro:bit. After powering the Edu:bit board, you open MakeCode (with Edu:bit extensions installed) and read the potentiometer value block. First display the raw value (0–1023) on the micro:bit using show number. Then map that range to 0–7 using the map block, wrap it with a round function to produce whole integers, and display those values. Then the potentiometer is tested live, showing it moves through the mapped values as the knob is turned.
