Gemstone faceting: cutting rhodolite garnet.

This video describes the steps in cutting and polishing faceted gemstones. A manually operated portable machine is used. I use an american made facetron machine and diamond coated discs to cut the gems. Rhodolite garnet is a mixture of the pyrope and almandine variety and this piece most likely came from africa.
I cut it in a round brilliant design.
