Equip the Poison Mist incantation (not to be mistaken with the Ash of War of the same name). If you don’t have enough Faith to use it, an issue I ran into, equip a restored Godrick’s Great Rune and use a Rune Arc to activate its power. This will raise your attributes by 5 until you die, so this should hopefully bring your Faith stat high enough to use this incantation (12 faith). Make sure you have a sufficient amount of Flask of Cerulean Tears allocated. Run around the area and sneak behind the boss to avoid detection. Behind the boss, use the incantation. If it ends and he is not poisoned, use it again. When he is no longer poisoned, use the incantation again until re-poisoned.
