ONE LOVE / Ue O Muite Arukō [SING OUT from JAPAN] 3.11, 2011
Great East Japan Earthquake 11 March 2011
Queremos decir muchas gracias.
"ue wo muite arukou"
(miro hacia arriba mientras camino)
To the people around the world, who reached out to us.
We are deeply grateful to you all for your warm acts of kindness.
We thank you, from our hearts.
We, the people of Tohoku, will not be defeated by the disasters.
It will take years for some areas to return to the normal way of life.
But we will not give up.
In spite of Tohoku's present situation, we are moving forward.
In the near future, we determine to become even stronger than we were before.
Through this website, we hope to communicate to you, the voices of the people of Tohoku, our experience, our strength...
The first edition of "Sing Out from Japan" is made by musicians from the devastated areas.
We are all so thankful for the messages of love and support that we have received from our brothers and sisters all over the world.
This Japanese song "UE O MUITE ARUKOU" (a tune known to many as the sukiyaki song), has been chosen our prayer for hope.
Again, thank you all.
