How To Make Amazing Honey Taffy - (Only Honey)

Today we show how to make beautiful honey candy with just one ingredient! This is a great project to do with your kids - my kids were sleeping when I made it but I will have to do it again with them. The honey provides a wonderful and unique flavor.

Recipe:

1 pound honey (about 1 1/2 cups)

Preparation

1. Line a baking sheet or pan with parchment paper and lightly coat with butter, or just butter the pan.

2. Place honey in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat, uncovered, until honey begins to boil (about 8 minutes). Continue cooking until a candy thermometer registers 270-280°, about 10 minutes. Pour mixture onto pan. Cool about 15-20 minutes.

3. Coat your hands with butter. With your hands, roll up the honey in the pan to form a ball. Stretch honey and fold it in half. Continue pulling and folding honey for about 5 minutes or until the color changes from amber to a golden tan. (At this point you may chill for 10 min. I did not.)
4. Roll and stretch honey into long logs, dividing if it grows to long to handle. Cut into sections with scissors and wrap with wax paper.
