Pedal powered wood kayak build and sea trial

I built the pedal powered kayak using plans bought from Chesapeake Light Craft, Sea Island Sport model. I really wanted a pedal powered kayak so my hands are free for fishing. I modified the plans to adapted it to fit a Hobie Mirage Drive 180, and also a modified Hobie kayak Rudder. The boat is lighter and faster than a Hobie Kayak, and looks better, and I had the satisfaction of making it myself while quarantining in COVID times.
The Sea Island Sport is designed by Nick Schade and it combines elements of a sit on top kayak with a traditional wooden kayak. The boat is made from "Stitch and Glue" method using a combination of 4mm Okueme and 3mm Sapele marine plywood as the core of a fiberglass epoxy composite structure.
