America Released New Video 6th-Gen Fighter Jet Shocked Russia And China

Can We Expect a Sixth-Generation Fighter? – Much talk is made of the current “fifth-generation” jet aircraft, notably the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II. It is actually the second fifth-generation fighter, after the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, which was developed as part of the United States Air Force’s Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) program that began in the 1980s. The F-22 first entered service in 2005 – sixty years after the end of the Second World War.

In fact, the “generation” designation of our modern aircraft is based on the warbirds built after that conflict. Though the designations were actually only retroactively created, the U.S. Air Force broke down the respective capabilities of the generational designations:
it has been officially announced that the United States Air Force is developing its next-generation (sixth-generation) fighter.
Since the program is in its early stages and is obviously Top Secret, little other information was offered at the event. What we do know is that it will be crewed and will become the centerpiece of the Air Force’s so-called Next Generation Air Dominance family of systems.
