A closer look at the All Steel and Alumi-Steel flatbed truck beds from Carolina Custom Products. The All Steel model features a 3/16" steel tread plate deck, while the Alumi-Steel model uses a 1/4" aluminum tread plate deck with a steel subframe underneath. The Alumi-Steel option helps reduce weight and adds corrosion resistance, while still keeping the strength needed for hauling, towing, and daily work-truck use. Both models include a 40,000 lb rated 5th wheel/gooseneck setup and a 24,000 lb rated rear receiver.
