The Doctor has a flashback scene in The Unicorn and The Wasp where he is shown in medieval Belgium with a bow and quiver of arrows on his back. He explains that he was deep in the Ardennes, looking for Charlemagne who was "kidnapped by an insane computer". Agatha Christie interrupts before he can paint a full picture; however the events are fully explored on Doctor Who's BBC website in the short story "The Lonely Computer."

In the style of the Audio Go narrated audiobooks of 2008, featuring original soundscapes. This story features the Doctor as played by David Tennant and Donna Noble as played by Catherine Tate.
