March 2021 Sewing Makes - and frugalfrocks 2021 reveal 😊

So today I talked about all the things I have made in March 2021. Here are a few more details that you may find useful about each item :

The fist 2 dresses I showed you were for my entry into the #frugalfrocks2021 challenge over on Instagram.
I made the Little Lizard Kinf Galena dress in a size 6. The first was from a cotton jersey that I purchased from Haberdashery Fabrics and More in Plymouth.
The second was made in a viscose jersey I purchased from Material Girl Laura, before she closed her shop.
I increased the length of the bodice on both versions by 2 inches.

The next dress I showed you was a Jennifer Lauren Sorrel dress, that I made for my youngest daughter. This was made in a size 8 at the top, and graded to a size 6 from the waist down.
The fabric was purchased some time ago, and unfortunately I can't remember where I bought it. It is a shorting cotton and is very light weight.

Next I showed you the pinafore dress I made for Amy, the kwik sew K4138 made from quilting cotton I bought from Creative Crafts and Needlework in Totnes. I made the size small, but adjusted the waist to be everso slightly smaller.

The next 2 shirts were from my sew along. The Kalle shirt by Closet Core patterns. The sew along can be found here :

I made the size 8 in both versions, which is one size smaller than my measurements.
The blue version was made in cotton fabric from Like Sew Amazing and the check version is from a heavy weight cotton from Guthrie Ghani.
I made one version with the grandad style collar and the other with a proper shirt style collar.
The only alteration I made was to increase the length of the front shirt by 4 inches and the back by 1 inch, which brought the front and back to the same length.

One more shirt, and this time for my husband. I made the Mccalls M6044 in a size small, in shirting cotton from John Lewis. This is an credibly simple shirt to make, and a very enjoyable sew too.

Amy then shared her Cardigan. It is from the Susan Crawford Vintage Collection, and is called the Tri cable Stitch Jumper. The pattern was on Raveley. The Yarm used was the suggested yarn, and in Ruby red. Made in size small. You can follow Amy on Instagram here :

Last up I shared the 2 Deer and Doe garments. Both the Givre , but one as a dress, in beautiful rainbow fabric from Make @140 in Plymouth and made in a size 36. The second version in a really fun maths print fabric from Minerva. Com and in the top style only.
