How to build a simple portfolio?

Investing is simple, but not easy – that's a famous quote from Warren Buffett –one of the best investors of our times. In today's video, I will show you how easily you can build and test your passive portfolio (but it doesn't mean it's easy to follow it with discipline).

The whole secret behind such an approach is that we put into our portfolio a set of assets which historically are beating the inflation. For example, we put a global stock market (now easy to achieve via ETFs), some bonds and gold – that's all!

It doesn't have to be a perfect portfolio, as such is not even existing. We should instead design a portfolio with which we can live for years no matter what. In other words, our portfolio should reflect our preferences and expectations to make it easier to follow.

And last, but not least – we cannot control the market, but we can control the costs. Hence if we build our portfolio using low-cost ETFs and keep transaction cost at a minimum, compounding will do the job over the years.
