with the new 1K windscreen adhesive set the glue is immediately ready for use and no longer needs to be preheated
it does not however spare you the preparation of the vehicle
remove all relevant attachments add-on parts and cladding
disconnect the battery and unplug any existing connectors
then use a suitable tool to cut the defective windscreen from the body
now you can remove the windscreen with a colleague
afterwards clean the adhesive area of the car body using the enclosed cleaning cloth
now take a fresh cloth and thoroughly clean the outer part of the windscreen
then use a scraper knife and level the remaining adhesive material on the body flange to a height of about 2 millimeters
now the primer is used
first place the applicator on the can
apply the primer along the mark of the new windscreen
the guide ring allows you to keep a perfect line
allow the primer to air for at least ten minutes
only then can the adhesive material adhere correctly
also dab the primer on the body flange where adhesive material may be missing
put on the new windscreen without glue and position it
mark the correct position and remove
remove the covers from the back plate and install the sensors and cameras
also remove all protective foil from the windscreen
prepare the cartridge and place it in the glue gun
apply the adhesive material evenly and in one go
make sure to overlap the beginning and the end of the bead
bring the beads together with a wooden spatula
now lose no time in place in the windscreen on the mark
now fix the windscreen with for example two strong tape strips
the drying time is two hours
