1964 Chevy Carryall Custom | Old School Suburban | Run to the Pines Car Show
On this episode of My Classic Car, we'll travel to the White Mountains of Arizona for Run to the Pines. This show is a fun family get away, and what better way to get there than a 1964 Chevrolet Carryall. This early Suburban is large, powerful, and wonderfully restored. Packing an upgraded 5.3L Vortec V8, this classic SUV is a cool and comfortable way to navigate the mountains.
We found a powerful 1933 Ford Street Rod that, though subtly customized, is a serious head-turner. This Candy Brandywine Custom is outfitted with Ostrich interior and a screaming Cobra 427 Side-Oiler engine. Words don’t do this car justice, so just watch this episode!
Then, it’s a killer 1955 Olds 98 Holiday! The color on this bright green custom coupe draws plenty of attention, but what’s under the hood is the real show stopper for this baby. The massive Ram Jet 502 powering this Holiday pushes 565ft.lbs. of torque and is beautifully crafted into the engine bay. This Olds is clean, classy, and ready to cruise.
Up next, a fun little car that we weren’t quite sure what it even was at first. This tiny buggy is actually the first vehicle Subaru ever imported into the United States. This 1969 Subaru 360 has suicide doors, a roll back convertible top, and runs on a 2-cylinder 2-cycle engine. It’s not a racecar by any means, but this 36HP machine is actually the souped-up version.
We wrap up this awesome Arizona show with a wildly customized 1965 Ranchero Hot Rod that certainly draws a crowd. This Ford pickup has been completely worked over and cleaned up, but as you can imagine the engine is one of the biggest upgrades. Still the original 289 block, this bored out and built-up power plant has been transformed into a screamin’ 347 Stroker. You’ve got to see this baby!
Run to the Pines is one of the Southwest’s premiere car shows and it's got something for everyone so you’re really going to enjoy this episode.
