JOHN DEERE 2940 4X4 STUCK IN BOGS

This was our second attempt at getting the heavy John Deere off the Cranberry Bogs . We tried yesterday using all the chains and straps we had but the cable we used to reach the tractor was only 3/8th . We broke it on our first pull . I told the owner I would come back Sunday with 5/8th cable . We changed out the cable on one of my class C wreckers last year and had the old cable [ 200 feet ] back at shop . Andy and I put cable clamps on it and with my side puller [200 feet ] and the used cable we were just 30 feet shy of reaching Big Green . On the first pull I was not aware that they had used one of the farms chains . We broke it first tug . Had Andy come back to #15 and get 3 long
chains . I had the chains double up versus single line . Second attempt came right out easy peezy .
