A Conversation on U.S. Elections with New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu
Oct. 27, 2022
New Hampshire is unique in the American election landscape. The culture of grassroots campaigning, combined with the state’s first-in-the-nation presidential primary, means that Granite Staters have historically played an important role in selecting U.S. presidents.
In advance of the U.S. midterm elections, the Baker Institute welcomed New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu for a conversation about key election issues facing the U.S. — including election administration, the 2024 presidential election, and the critical role of New Hampshire each presidential nominating season.
Sununu is the 82nd governor of the state of New Hampshire, and is currently serving his third term. He was joined in conversation by Mark P. Jones and John B. Williams, co-directors of the Baker Institute Presidential Elections Program.

Fellow in Political Science, Baker Institute; Joseph D. Jamail Chair in Latin American Studies and Political Science Professor, Rice University
