Blue Heron Gets Snake

Caught this footage in the backyard this morning just as a Great Blue Heron grabbed a Black Indigo Snake. I tried at first to stop him because these snakes are protected but I had no luck. The snake doesn't go down without a fight as it gets a piece of the bird's leg on two occasions. Unfortunately the batteries died...
