Family Day at Auckland Zoo, New Zealand

Auckland Zoo offers families, couples and groups a fun place to spend the day. There are so many different animals from all around the world each in a specially designed enclosure that enables them to live happy, healthy lives.

Whether you have young kids with you or not, you are sure to find it enjoyable and educational as you walk around the park and view the many and diverse themed areas within the zoo grounds. You can even enter the Aussie Walk About enclosure and get up nice and close to the kangaroos, wallabies, emus and colourful peacocks. There are also a variety of Australian native birds to watch.

It is fun watching the animals interact with each other. There are zebras, giraffes and ostriches all in the same enclosure. You can watch as they interact and live just as their cousins do in Africa.

Of course you will also get to view Native New Zealand wildlife. The beautiful Kiwi bird was also active while we were there so we got to see him having fun playing in the leaf litter in his enclosure. He was fun to watch.

We had a lovely day at Auckland Zoo and look forward to returning again in the future!
