Welcome to English in a Minute!
When we get on board a plane, train, or boat, we physically get on the vehicle. But to get on board has another meaning, too.

D: Hey, Anna. I thought of a great new idea for work.
A: Dan, please. Work is busy enough. No more ideas!
D: Oh, you’ll get on board with this idea.
A: What we need is more free time, not more ideas.
D: Well, my idea is Free Time Fridays!
A: Oh. Yeah. Oh, I can totally get on board with that idea.

If you get on board with an idea, you like it. You agree with it. You can also get on board with a process or activity that you want to take part in.
