Sonic Pi Glockenspiel MkII

The video shows detail of the construction of a computer operated Glockenspiel, using overhead lego "hammers" controlled by Sonic Pi 3 running on a Raspberry Pi 3 computer. Sonic Pi sends OSC messages to a Python script running on the Raspberry Pi which controls signals on the GPIO pins. These are connected to 13 solenoids via two 8 channel darlington driver chips. A MIDI keyboard can also be connected to Sonic Pi and used to play the Glockenspiel. IN this second version of the project a PP1130 Glockenspiel by Plus Percussion is used. This has the facility to alter three of the notes for "black" keys, allowing it to play in F major and G major as well as the native C major. Full constructional details and a download of the software utilised is available in an article I have written on my blog at https://rbnrpi.wordpress.com/project-list/mk-ii-glockenspiel-for-sonic-pi/
