A Weird Way to Fix Your Weak Hand...

Any drummer who isn’t perfectly ambidextrous has at some point or another experienced the frustration of a “weak hand.” - that hand that just won’t play as smoothly, cleanly, and accurately as the other. We practice with it constantly, and even after all the repetitive motion we still find it lacking in skill compared to our dominate hand. Believe it or not, the issue might not be one that is easily solved by simply practicing. We may need to reach deeper and rewire our brains. Thankfully that’s actually pretty simple. In today’s video I provide just a few simple tips on how to improve your brain’s communication with your weak hand. This will all translate directly to your playing, and I’m sure you’ll find that weak hand to be much less frustrating as a result.
