The History of the classic Renault Alpine A310

The A310 is the oldest car in our line up, having been designed in 1971. For its time, the bodywork is the car was incredibly futuristic and a clear departure from what came before. In an even more futuristic twist, the polyester elements of the bodywork (which help keep the Alpine so light) were cut by high-pressure water jets travelling at three times the speed of sound.

Renault Connected is dedicated to showcasing eight of the most notable Renault cars throughout history. With presenters Jamie Wall, Natalie Green and Grace Webb, we dive deep into the evolution of Renault, looking at the Alpine, Megane RS, Clio V6, Clio 220, Renault G5, Caravelle, and the Renault Twingo.
