I'm gonna try to be short~~
Summerclan is the last clan from my wc oc's world that I haven't spoken about, but maybe the most complex one.
Summerclan works similar to a monarchy: there's a leader, who receives the name "Mothstar", and his wife and kids are the royalty. Only males can be leaders, and the sucessor must be called as Mothmask when received his warrior name.
Every Mothstar's kids must do both apprenticeships (the medicine cat and warrior), including the she-cats. Only Mothstar's kin can occupy the roles of leader and medicine cat in the clan, so every kid of Mothstar must learn every battle/hunting/healing skills.
When the cat is in their medicine cat apprentice, they have an spiritual mentor to guide them about omens and starclan's stuff.
This story talks about Mothpaw, the sucessor of Summerclan's leadership, which has Sun as his spiritual mentor, a she-cat who happens to be his age. As time goes by, our Mothpaw grows up, as well as Sun. When Mothpaw is close to get his warrior name ceremony, Sun reveals her secret: She is actually his older sister, who was killed by their own father due to a popular belief (which is : if the Mothstar's firstborn kit was a she-cat, his leadership would be a cursed with famine).

Shocked by this story, Mothpaw, soon to be Mothmask, starts his journey against his father, seeking for revenge and a revolution of the clan.

Some curiosity about Summerclan:
- The leader doesn't receive 9 lives like the other leaders. This is against their faith and think this is an act of avarice.
- They don't have a deputy. If the leader has siblings, they are the second of charge + the medicine cats.
- The chosen one to be the leader doesn't get a name. They are always called Mothkit - Mothpaw - Mothmask - Mothstar. If a brother takes the sucessor's place (by the death of the actual Mothmask or the fight between the two brothers), they abandon their name and become Mothmask.
- It's a very sexist clan. The she-cats are the last to eat, even if they are expecting or nursering kits. They only can eat first when they become elders (that is, only if the elder male cats have already eaten). This is because of the legend of the original Mothstar (Mothstar, the merciful), the last she-cat leader of Summerclan. In her leadership, a devasting shortage of prey let Summerclan almost to starve. Mothstar decided to starve herself, having your lives taking one by one, so she could focus on hunting and feeding the clan. Her sacrifice saved the clan, but it took all of her lives. Due to this, the she-cats in the clan are forced to be the last to eat as an tribute to Mothstar.

I hope you guys like it! Mothmask's story is actually about learning how changes are necessary to survive. Later in his story, he manages to change his clan, dealing with lot of conservadorism tho.
