1 Simple Mastering Trick To Create Headroom In Your Mixes

Here's a simple trick involving cranking the gain knob on your master to create a buffer of which your sounds on your mixer flowing into your master send will have a better headroom, such that you can master right in your existing project, and to even avoid bouncing stems, reducing the volume drastically of the mixer tracks, etc.

I personally like around minus 3db for headroom, this allows mastering plugins to not work as hard, reduce distortion, artifacts, etc.
